ABOUT
Advisorthopædics is a consultancy centered exclusively around innovation in the care of the musculoskeletal system. Facilitating translation of ideas that address unmet clinical needs in the musculoskeletal care space into viable solutions with commercial potential is the company’s ultimate goal.
Advisorthopædics was founded by Nancy Lynch, MD, MBA, FAAOS. Dr. Lynch, the company’s president, has more than 25 years’ experience in the clinical and business elements of orthopedics. In addition to spending several years as a practicing orthopedic surgeon, she has also worked as a venture capitalist and an executive within and board director for startup companies. Of note, she played an instrumental role in two initial public offerings as a Chief Medical Officer and consultant CMO.
Dr. Lynch is a Board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon and a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopædic Surgeons. She earned her medical degree from the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, then completed her residency at the Mayo Clinic and her fellowship training at the Indiana Hand Center. After entering practice, she continued her surgical studies in Switzerland with the AO Foundation. Subsequently she earned her MBA at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.
